About Adrienne Harvey McCoy

Adrienne has been painting since she was nine when her grandmother arranged for her to have private painting lessons.

In 1990, she earned the title of Outstanding Young Artist of Virginia, and in 1991, was awarded the title again. Her piece, “Paradise”, was prominently featured at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond, Virginia for a year, followed by a national tour over the next two years, including its display at the governor’s mansion in Virginia.

In addition to painting, Adrienne also works in pastel, oil pastel, and mixed media. She works in different styles from traditional to contemporary.

Her latest ongoing series Angels is deeply meaningful and personal to her. Because before she starts each painting she prays and asks God to help her.
